NOTES

Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using your new appliance. It is important

to keep these instructions as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features

available. The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance becomes damaged or defective

as a result of the user not following the information included in the instruction manual. If the

appliance becomes faulty during regular use, it should only be repaired by an authorised service

engineer.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

The following safety instructions must be followed when using the appliance. Please

read this section very carefully!

Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety rules for every specic situation,

so we ask you to apply commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a situation that

isn’t described below.

 This hair dryer has been designed for domestic use only. It must not be used for commercial

purposes and must never be operated outdoors. Only use the appliance when it has been

xed to a wall as described in these instructions.

Warning! Never use the hair dryer when in the bath, in the shower or near a

basin lled with water due to the risk of life-threatening electric shock. Follow

the safety instructions carefully when tting the appliance. If the appliance is

dropped into any water, it must be unplugged immediately. Never touch the

appliance if it is wet and still plugged in to the mains. An appliance that’s been

dropped into water or subjected to high levels of humidity should be taken

to an authorised service agent for checking and repair before it’s used again.

 We recommended including an RCD circuit breaker of no more than 30mA sensitivity in the

electricity supply if you install the hair dryer in a bathroom. Always consult a professional

electrician for this type of work.

 If you want to take a break from drying your hair, always switch o the appliance and return

it to the wall holder. Never let the dryer hang from the curly cord.

 In order to avoid an electric shock, never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in

water or any other liquid.

 Do not touch the appliance with moist hands. Plug the connector of the appliance into the

mains with dry hands only, and check that the casing, power cord and connector of the

appliance as well as the mains socket are dry. Should any moisture get inside the casing of

the appliance stop using it immediately and take it to a specialized service for checking or

repair.

 This device is not supposed to be used by physically or mentally handicapped people,

or persons without experience or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a

person supervises or guides their use of the device, who is at the same time responsible for

their safety. As for children, supervision is recommended to make sure that they do not play

with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by children under the age of 14, not

even with supervision!

 Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the

mains cable around the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the

appliance with the mains cable because the cable can break or the insulation can be

damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised service engineer. The

appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.

 Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If you need a longer cable

between the appliance and the wall socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from

an electrical dealer. When using an extension cord, be careful not to create a hazard that

you or someone else could trip over.

 After use and before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the mains. Never do

this by pulling on the cable; always take hold of the plug and pull out of the socket. Switch

o the appliance before disconnecting it from the mains.

 Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose

for use with the appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular

function.
