Read the instruction manual carefully before
using this device, especially the safety instruc-
tions, and keep the instruction manual for future
use. Should you give this device to another per-
son, it is vital that you also pass on these inst-
ructions for use.
• Carefully check the foot warmer before each use for signs
of wear and/or damage.
• Do not use if you notice wear, damage or signs of improper
use on the foot warmer, the switch or the cables. Return it
to the supplier.
• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please
ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is
compatible with your mains supply.
• The appliance may not be switched on using a clock timer.
• The foot warmer may not be operated while folded or
creased.
• No safety pins or other pointed or sharp objects may be at-
tached to the foot warmer or stuck into it.
• The unit is designed for private home use only.
• This foot warmer is not intended for clinical or commercial
use.
• Only use the foot warmer for the purpose described in this
instruction manual.
• Do not use the device on children or persons who are disa-
bled, asleep or insensitive to heat (persons who cannot re-
act on overheating).
• Children below the age of 3 years are not allowed to use
this device, because they are not able to react on overheat-
ing.
• The device must not be used by young children over the
age of 3 years, unless the control unit has been adjusted
accordingly by its parents or legal guardians and unless the
child has been well instructed how to use the control unit
properly.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by chil-
dren without supervision.
• The appliance is not to be used for warming animals.
• Never leave the foot warmer unattended during operation.
• Do not fall asleep while the foot warmer is switched on.
• Do not wear shoes when using the foot warmer because
this will lower your heat-sensitivity and will cause the foot
warmer to become dirty.
• Prolonged use of the foot warmer at a high setting could
lead to skin burns.
• Do not use the foot warmer in bed.
• Do not use the foot warmer when it is damp or in moist en-
vironments. The foot warmer may only be used again once
it is completely dry.
• The controls and leads must not be exposed to any kind of
moisture.
• Do not reach to retrieve a foot warmer that has fallen into
water. Unplug the appliance immediately.
• During operation, the switch and lead may not be placed
on or under the foot warmer or covered in any other way
whatsoever.
• Do not place any heat sources (e.g. hot-water bottles or
heating pads) on the foot warmer.
• Keep the mains lead away from hot surfaces.
• Do not place any large or heavy objects (e.g. cases, etc.)
on the foot warmer regardless of whether the appliance is
switched on or o.
• Never carry, pull or turn the foot warmer using the power
cable and do not clamp the cable.
• When the appliance is not in use, disconnect the plug from
the mains.
• In the event of a defect, do not repair the foot warmer your-
self. Repairs must only be carried out by an authorized
specialist dealer or other suitably qualied personnel.
• If the power supply cable is damaged, it may only be re-
placed by medisana, an authorised dealer or by qualied
personnel in order to avoid hazards.
• When storing the foot warmer, leave it to cool down rst be-
fore folding. To prevent creases, do not place any objects
on the foot warmer when storing.
• If you have any health concerns, consult your doctor be-
fore using the foot warmer.
• Do not use the foot warmer if your feet are swollen, in-
amed or injured.
• If you experience any pain or discomfort while using the
unit, stop using it immediately.
Items supplied and packaging
Please check rst of all that the device is complete and is
not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use it and
contact your dealer or your service centre.

The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please
dispose properly of any packaging material no long-
er required. If you notice any transport damage dur-
ing unpacking, please contact your supplier without
delay.
WARNING
Please ensure that the polythene packing is
kept away from the reach of children! Risk of
suocation!
Operation
Always make sure that the foot warmer is not bent or folded
when in use. Always use the foot warmer only together with
the interior cover

1. Establish a power connection. The indicator light on dis-
play

lights up.
2. Press the on/o key

to switch on the appliance. The
control light goes out and a „1“ (for temperature level 1)
appears in the display

3. You can set one of 6 temperature levels by repeatedly
pressing the temperature level button

, with level 6 be-
ing the one with the highest heating.
4. To preset an operating time, use the operating time key

. By repeatedly pressing it, you can preset a time from
1 (one hour) to 6 (6 hours). When you press the operating
time key

, the currently set time only appears for a few
seconds on the display

together with the indicator light
that lights up. Then the temperature level (without indica-
tor light) is displayed again.
5. After the preset operating time has elapsed, the appliance
switches o automatically. However, you can also switch
it o manually at any time by pressing the on/o key

.
Disconnect the plug from the mains socket when you are not
using the foot warmer.
WARNING
• When the foot warmer is in operation, the con-
trol unit may heat up slightly. Therefore, it must
not be covered or placed on the foot warmer
while the appliance is switched on.
• Do not rely on your hands to test the heat of the
foot warmer. Hands are considerably less sen-
sitive towards heat than the rest of the body’s
surface. A temperature which is judged by the
hand to be slightly warm can be felt by the feet
to be unpleasantly hot..
• The foot warmer must no longer be used after a
fault has occurred. This is because safe opera-
tion of the appliance can no longer be guaran-
teed.
Cleaning and maintenance
The foot warmer
The electric foot warmer should be kept clean because it
may not be washed or dry-cleaned. Before cleaning the foot
warmer, always disconnect the plug from the mains and al-
low it to cool down. The foot warmer can be cleaned dry with
a soft brush. Small marks can be removed with a cloth or a
slightly damp sponge, using a mild liquid cleaner. The foot
warmer may not become wet. If it becomes damp it must
be air-dried. Store the foot warmer in a dry place and do not
place any objects on top of it.
Interior cover

Before cleaning the foot warmer, the insert cover must be
taken out. The cover can be cleaned with a damp cloth or
according to the care instructions on the labels. (30°C gen-
tle wash). Use solvent-free cleaners only. Only use the foot
warmer again once it and the cover are completely dry.

Disposal
This product must not be disposed of together with
domestic waste. All users are obliged to hand in all
electrical or electronic devices, regardless of wheth-
er or not they contain toxic substances, at a munici-
pal or commercial collection point so that they can
be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.
Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for informa-
tion about disposal.
Warranty and repair terms
Your statutory warranty rights are not restricted by our guar-
antee below. Please contact your dealer or the service cen-
tre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to re-
turn the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state
what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for medisana products is 3 years from
date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of
purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt
or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of
charge within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period
either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treat-
ment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the
customer or unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the
manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the
service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused
by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is
accepted as a warranty claim.
