Indications

Venous symptoms

• Superficial vein thrombosis

• Deep vein thrombosis

• Condition following thrombosis

• Post-thrombotic syndrome

• Thrombosis prophylaxis in mobile patients

Edema

• Phlebolymphedema

• Edema in pregnancy

• Post-traumatic edema

• Postoperative edema

• Postoperative reperfusion edema

• Idiopathic cyclical edema

• Lipedemas

• Congestion conditions due to immobility

(arthrogenic congestive syndrome, partial or

complete paralysis of the extremities)

• Occupational edema (standing or seated occupa-

tions)

• Drug-induced edema, if no adjustment is possible

• Lymphedema

• Lipedema from stage II

• Lipolymphedema

• Inflammatory dermatosis of the leg

• Nausea and dizziness in pregnancy

• Congestion complaints in pregnancy

Risks of using this product

There are no known application risks if you use

the product solely according to the indication and

provided that you have been measured by a trained

specialist and you have been taught the correct

method for putting on the compression stockings.

In the case of stockings with a silicone top band,

skin irritation can occur in patients who are

intolerant to this material.

Do not modify the product yourself in any way;

otherwise it may not help as expected or it may be

harmful to your health. In these cases, any warran-

ty or liability claims will be excluded.

• Avoid contact with ointments, lotions, or sub-

stances containing grease or acids.

• If you notice any changes or an increase in symp-

toms while wearing the product, stop any further

use and contact your doctor.

Contraindications

• Advanced peripheral artery disease (if one of

these parameters is met: ABPI < 0.5, arterial

pressure at the ankle < 60 mmHg, toe pressure

< 30 mmHg, or tcpO2 < 20 mmHg at the instep)

• Decompensated heart failure (NYHAIII + IV)

• Septic phlebitis

• Phlegmasia coerulea dolens

In the following cases, the decision to treat should

be made after weighing the benefits against the

risks in order to choose the most appropriate

means of compression:

• Dermatosis with significant weeping

• Intolerance of the compression material

• Severely impaired sensitivity of the extremity

• Advanced peripheral neuropathy (e. g. in the case

of diabetes mellitus)

• Rheumatoid arthritis

The manufacturer will not accept liability – partic-

ularly product liability – in the event of failure to

comply with the above contraindications.

Application instructions

• The initial fitting must only be performed by

medically trained specialists.

• It is best to put on your stockings first thing in the

morning, as soon as you get up, or after lymph

drainage.

• Wear Bauerfeind gloves to put on and take o

your VenoTrain compression stockings as this

makes it easier to distribute the material evenly.

• Your legs must be dry.

• Do not grasp the knitted fabric with sharp finger-

nails. Make sure that you take o your jewelry

before starting.

• Please avoid overstretching the stockings and do

not pull the product up by the silicone top band.

• Avoid damaging the knitted fabric and do not

cut o any loose threads or labels, as this could

cause stitches made during production to unravel.

• Store your VenoTrain compression stockings in a

dry place away from direct light.

• Compression stockings are articles for daily use,

and as such they are subject to natural wear

when used on a regular basis. The recommended

length of use is six months. This is based on

correct handling (putting on and removal, care,

etc.). The product’s maximum useful life under

proper storage conditions is indicated next to an

“hourglass” symbol printed on the label on the

packet.

Cleaning instructions

• Please use mild detergent and a lingerie bag.

Never expose your product to direct heat. Also

observe the instructions on the sewn-in label

on the upper edge of your product. Regular care

guarantees optimum eectiveness of the product.

• The product can be machine dried provided

a delicate cycle is chosen. Also observe the

instructions on the sewn-in label on the upper

edge of your product.

• When handwashing the stockings, we recommend

drying them between two towels (do not wring).

• Avoid the use of washing additives like fabric

softener, optical brighteners or stain removers.

• Please wipe the silicone non-slip band on the

inside once a day with a damp cloth.

»Sanduhr« auf dem Schachteletikett aufgedruckt.

Reinigungshinweise

• Bitte verwenden Sie Feinwaschmittel und ein

Wäschenetz. Setzen Sie Ihr Produkt nie direkter

Hitze aus. Beachten Sie auch die Hinweise auf

dem Einnähetikett am oberen Rand Ihres Pro-

duktes. Regelmäßige Pflege gewährleistet eine

optimale Wirkung.

• Das Produkt ist bei Anwendung eines Schon-

programms für den Trockner geeignet. Beachten

Sie auch die Hinweise auf dem Einnähetikett am

oberen Rand Ihres Produktes.

•

Bei Handwäsche am besten zwischen zwei trocke-

nen Handtüchern ausdrücken (nicht wringen).

• Verzichten Sie auf Waschmittelzusätze wie Weich-

spüler, optische Aufheller oder Fleckenmittel.

• Bitte wischen Sie das Silikonhaftband an der

Innenseite einmal am Tag feucht ab.

Das Produkt ist allein für Ihre Nutzung vorgesehen.

muten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall, wenden Sie

sich bitte zunächst direkt an denjenigen, von dem

Sie das Produkt erworben haben. Das Produkt ist

vor Gewährleistungsanzeige zu reinigen. Wurden

die Hinweise zum Umgang und zur Pflege der

VenoTrain nicht beachtet, kann die Gewährleistung

beeinträchtigt oder ausgeschlossen sein.

Die Gewährleistung ist ausgeschlossen bei:

• nicht indikationsgerechter Anwendung

• Nichtbefolgen der Anweisung des Fachpersonals

• eigenmächtiger Produktveränderung

Meldepflicht

Aufgrund regionaler gesetzlicher Vorschriften sind

Sie verpflichtet, jeden schwerwiegenden Vorfall bei

Anwendung dieses Medizinproduktes sowohl dem

Hersteller als auch dem BfArM (Bundesinstitut für

Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte) unverzüglich zu

Entsorgung

Bitte entsorgen Sie das Produkt nach Nutzungsen-

de entsprechend der örtlichen Vorgaben.

Materialzusammensetzung

Folgende Materialien werden in unseren Kompres-

sionsstrümpfen verwendet: Polyamid und Elastan.

Die prozentuale Zusammensetzung entnehmen Sie

Anlege-Tipps

Geschlossene Fußspitze

1) Wenden Sie den Strumpf nach »links« bis zur

Ferse. Streifen Sie das Fußteil über die Zehen,

dann über den Spann.

2) Das Beinteil wenden und gleichzeitig über die

Ferse ziehen. Achten Sie auf einen korrekten

Sitz der Ferse.

3) Den Strumpf nun etappenweise nach oben

streifen und gleichmäßig verteilen, bis er

faltenfrei sitzt.

Niemals am oberen Rand oder Haftband

ziehen.

Oene Fußspitze

1) Beiliegende blaue VenoTrain-Anziehhilfe

anlegen.

2) Fassen Sie das Beinteil zusammen und

streifen Sie das Fußteil über die Anziehhilfe.

Achten Sie auf einen korrekten Sitz der Ferse.

3) Den Strumpf nun etappenweise nach oben

streifen und gleichmäßig verteilen, bis er

faltenfrei sitzt.

Niemals am oberen Rand oder Haftband

ziehen. Nun können Sie die Anziehhilfe

entfernen, indem Sie sie durch die oene

Fußspitze herausziehen.

tured for flat-knitted compression pantyhose. The

compression classes for the legs are then shown

on the label.

Intended purpose

VenoTrain are medical products. They are com-

pression stockings for the long-term therapy of

phlebological and / or lymphological disorders as

well as, in special cases, for the long-term therapy

of lipedema.
